Disc brake proportioning valve

They are only $99 dollars new.

I have several used. But here is the problem. They are very hard to install where they are located. There is very little room. I am on my 3rd used one first two are stuck. The rebuild kits are only $15 . but unless you know for sure it is good inside your taking a chance on a 50 year old valve that could be a safety issue.

Classic industries sells them new and the are the later style. Later style has the preferred 2 piece piston. two out of the three I checked that I had were frooze and couldn't even get them apart for rebuild. Used they are worth about $10 unless they are rebuilt. click the link below and be confident your getting one that works. After all this is your brakes you are talking about. Also always use new never opened DOT 4 fluid with these valves to prevent moisture. DOT three is why most of them are junk after 50 years.

See the difference of the internals in the link below. There is a lot of little parts that get stuck. They also sell rebuild kits which I would recommend done before anyone sells them to someone. You never know whats inside those old crusty parts.
