You should be running a PCV valve. Hook the vacuum advance up to the side of the primary bowl if that carb has a fitting there. If not, you can hook it up to manifold vacuum by using the vacuum port under the front of the carb. It may not like having all that timing at idle if you hook the VA to manifold vacuum.
