Which choke to use?

have a 78 van slant 6 came w/manual cable choke that never worked properly.
would like to use a good manual or electric choke but everything i seem to find is set up for a holley straight on. i have the carter 2bbl. which goes in a 90 degree way. any suggestions?

You want a № 1232 Electric choke kit.

If the manual don't work, Ima thinking she's got other issues that an electric choke won't for sure fix, especially on a 40plus years old engine.

i just did one of these setups, take a look at my thread...there is a level of nuance that isnt in the directions. I ended up having to make some linkage changes on the carb and running the Echoke with some extra rich preload to get it to function well. Works great after some tweaking
