Magnum heads worth the effort?

I can see you're really wanting to keep this on the Magnum heads and trust me if he would stop pulling me in I could leave it alone..
lol... blame me for bringing up the ProComps… :) I brought them up for sure...

Okay I'm done I'm out this is my final word. I've spent too much money on cast iron heads just to find out now that I could have had a aluminum for much less. Do what you will...
Unsubscribed....

If he were like you he'd already had paged for the mods.... LOL :D :D oatmeal :D

Ha, no its all good. More information is always better
sorry I was busy answering a personal message from someone who wants to know where they can get some aluminum heads for $820 (did I say brand new in the box sent to your door?)LOL...
I think if I had $699 into some use Magnum heads the first thing I'd want to do and spend at least$500 or more on some Doug's headers and if that didn't do it I'd spend at least $300 on some drag slicks for my car that can't spin the tires because the gears are too low...:poke::D

I lied he drew me back in for some more...

Trust me every bit of all this stuff can be loaded up on a trailer and brought down to the river and dumped off and save us a tremendous amount of money!!!!

Disagreed! I came back and won that race!
Why don't you pull up the quote where you admit that!?...
That was a fast "unsubscribed" to "re-new my subscription" LOL :D Now, back to Mag heads :)

my take is that magnums crack easier
better chamber than x & take less timing
flow better
wedge chamber so better long term with pistons to match
should be slight gain
but not worth it unless your x heads need guides and seats- which they will
and you already have a set of magnums or can get cheap as as you can see there are other expenses
manifold, pushrods etc
otherwise you have been given lots of other opinions and options
