Doberman Vs. Pack of Coyotes
My experience hunting coyotes:
Went after two with a .22 rifle on the ranch. They split up, so I chased one down thru a pasture field in my Dakota pick-up truck. The coyote never stopped running, but crossed over in front of the truck and got run over-dead.
Dad had a deer rifle with a scope which I never used before (never shot a deer rifle/never used a scope). Hunted down a pair of coyotes in a ravine that I thought might be threatening our fall calf crop. I took a prone position and aimed and fired at one of 'em.
I had put the scope up against my right eye and gave myself a black eye (and bloody to boot) when I squeezed off the trigger. Worst part of the story is I missed and the coyote got away Scot-free.
