Another scammer
Whats the point? The guy didnt want the mower, but wanted you to send him back the difference? Man how stupid does the scammer think we are?
I can answer that question with a short version story of one of our computer service customers.
Caller told her they would deposit 3k in her bank account if she would help them out and go to Walmart to purchase 100 ITunes gift cards and call them back wit the serial numbers.
They told her they were banned from already buying to many. (WTF?:D)
Well, she did it and they told her that 10 of them were no good so go buy 10 more. (she did)
THEN they told her they needed control of her computer to make sure the money they deposited actually went to her. (again WTF?)
THEN they told her to log into her bank so she could see the deposit.
Guess what happened next?
Yep, her account was emptied of the few thousand she had in it AND she just bought them 110 ITunes gift cards.
The FBI SHOULD take those cases. After all, the second the perp places that check in the mail, it becomes the federal crie of mail fraud.
They should, but rarely do.
One of the reasons we pay taxes is for the protection of the US Gov. is what an actual IRS agent told me once.
Well I sure do see a lot of epic fails.
