it wont cost much more they said!so i bit the bullet(so to speak) and filled out the recommendation form thru bullet cams, i liked what they came up with so i said lets do it, for my LA 360 engine in my demon.they even called back to see if it was a magnum or not.so after paying $398 cdn and $98 cdn in duty it showed up, my brand new custom ground cam for my non existent 440 b-block. so im wondering if i send it back and get a new one for the 360 will i need to pay duty again? or should i hang onto this $497 440 cam for a possible 440 in my future?, i have an uncle giving me one in may. this isnt a roller as the price suggests, just a hyd flat tappet

Yes, they are making it right, no springs or lifters, just the cam.i explained to them to send the new cam usps, not ups, hopefully avoid brokerage duty that way

At least it was obvious. I fear if lift or diration is off? I did make quick mic and my custom from comp cams appeared to be correct. And lined up right for installation. But always have that thought in mind. Especially performance parts. And might be pretty easy sell in Canada for your cam in hand? (Unless exotic) maybe a couple bucks in your pocket? Then try again?

Nobody would pay 500 for a hyd 440 cam,well, except me apparently!lol

Ouch, UPS strikes again with their nutty brokerage fees! Gotta pay for the clean brown trucks and uniforms somehow! Good choice requesting USPS.

Since they are keeping you whole, might as well either sell the 440 cam for something and make a buck or just hold onto it until your 440 project appears.

Now that’s just totally FUCKED UP!

I would say the proper cam should come to you totally FREE OF CHARGE.

I couldn't have said it any better. I am trying to curve my cussing, but sometimes there are no other words.

How far up in British Columbia are you?
Geese with a passport you can drive down to Oregon cam grinding and get one from Ken in Washington for $79...
Exchange.

I like the way you think...

Speaking of I like the way you think....

One day in school the teacher asks little Johnny,
"If there were five birds on the tree and you shoot two birds with your gun then how many would be left?"
"None because they would all fly away.", replies little Johnny.
"That is incorrect.", says the teacher, "there would be three left, but I like the way you think."

Then little Johnny asks the teacher,
"If there were three women on the bench with an ice cream cone, one biting on the cone, the other sucking the cone, and the last one licking her cone, which one is married?"
"The one sucking on the cone," guessed the teacher.
"That is incorrect," replies little Johnny," The one with the wedding ring on her finger is married, but I like the way you think."

Okay I had to copy that to send to my son...

Hey, whoa....
You can reuse a lifter that way? Tell me MORE !
you can reuse lifters that way, you can reuse the lifters that way, you can reuse lifters that way... Give me a copy and replace that as many times as you need...
Free of charge when you use your J par discount code FOR F.R.E.E.

No, I am serious. I have thrown away lifters too many times to count. It would be great to be able to reuse them. Thing is, I have NEVER heard of this before. Sure, Schubeck used to make those ceramic coated solids that could be reused, swapped to different lobes, etc but a regular lifter like this?

I don't know I gave Ken at Oregon cam grinding my cam and my lifters and they charged me $4 each to touch them up or I think basically resurface them to mate to my new cam grind..

So u guys think that a guy could ceramic coat the old lifters and that would make them good again? I got a chance to buy a ceramic coating rig that’s why I’m asking. Kim

I guess it never occurred to me not to think that if I couldn't get the cam resurfaced I couldn't get the lifters resurfaced...

It is a stellar idea. You'd think that more would have been mentioned about it if it is true. I don't know off the top of my helmet what a set of Howards hydraulics cost but I've used their solids with the EDM hole with my last 2 cams. Going to a Roller is tempting but the cost is a hard kick to the crotch.

If it's true?! Didn't I post a picture of my receipt? I am currently running said lifters with I don't know what to say normal results....
