Cool, thanks for the head's up. I've got about 12 episodes of GYC on my DVR I need to catch up on.
Still waiting for them to do a '69 Barracuda Formula S or a 'Cuda 340.
Come on Mark, show some A-body love.

a member here has a 69’ cuda’ there and its gotten a small amount of TV time

They said right on the show that A bodies do not command high enough prices to justify a high dollar restoration

Ive personally never seen the show. But, somebody was commenting on here the other day that they charge 80k for labor and 30 to 40k for parts. Really? To do one car. Must be some people out there with lots of disposable income.

So it's supposed to be on MotorTrendTV this Thursday, 10/17, huh? Not listed in cable TV listings here. Not shown on the GYC web site either. Anybody find a listing for it on their cable system? Maybe they changed channels?

I can no longer watch that show.
That idiot that runs the place - Mark, may know alot about Mopars but he is a full blown *** hole the way he acts and treats people.
I would have buried a breaker bar in the back of his head the first day on the job.

That's the crap they want to see on TV and why I could care less about 100 channels and nothing on machines lol.....

Seriously, he is probably a completely different person away from the cameras. They are paid actors making bank so money can make people do strange things....

in my area it is on the Velocity Discovery channel

No such thing as "Velocity Discovery":

I can tell you this it's hard to find a good demon. The list of cars gy c can do leaves out about all four barrell except convertables, especially if you pencil in what you could sell the car for.nothing wrong with doing the cars you're self.I m not losing money on a car, that's crazy.

In Canada, they still call it ''Velocity Discovery Channel''.

Well, that is strange. But we have no listings on MotorTrend for any GYC shows, new or reruns, with the next week. I am not happy!

I’d much rather watch Bitchin Rides, Fantom Works (even though Dan is kind of a douche too) Wheeler Dealers, or even Full Custom Garage (not my style cars, but Ian seems like a cool dude).
Those shows actually show work being done on cars, not 20 minutes of
when are we gonna get seasons 2-10 on dvd?
20 minutes of
When are we gonna get our people lift fixed
15 minutes of
Why is there brake cleaner missing
And 5 minutes of Mopar eye candy

yep. high end shops are charging premiums for their work. Muscle Car Restorations in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin charges $85.00 a hour shop time and they will charge for stuff like taking 100's of pictures to "document" your restoration. on the other side of the coin, their cars command a premium price at auction and open market. you just have to have a car that has collect-ability to begin with.

there are other restoration shops more reasonable but they are not on TV or do not have name recognition on the main stage, like Caliber Auto Body in Port Washington, Wisconsin. the owner collects and restores his own cars, some of which I have seen and the work is well done. they are at $65.00 an hour. I have had him look at my 66 sedan and quoted some work which he will be doing this spring for me.

I agree Mark Worman is a goofy dork. it would give me great pleasure to be his personal bully. in the past years I gleaned good information off of the show and learned new things as well, but the last 3 new episodes were more about dry humor drama than car restoration.

80K for labor at a high end restoration shop is not all that high. And YES, there are a lot of people out there with a lot of money.
It pains me to say this, because I have always really liked Graveyard Carz, but the first three episodes of this new season have not been very good. They have only showed about 5 minutes of actual car work in each show. The rest was monkeying around BS. I would guess that for the last several years, it was more like about 30 minutes of actual car work. This has happened on several other car shows I quit watching. I would love to contact Mark and make my point, but they probably don't care what we think.

Saying via the Internet that you would hit somebody in the back of the head with a breaker bar... (From behind) EMBARRASSING...
I haven't watched it in a couple seasons cuz I don't have cable anymore..
The subject of this program has obviously came up at least a dozen times and every time I say the same thing..
If I found myself surrounded by the baddest Mopars - basically at Disneyland of mopar with all the equipment and everything you need at your disposal to make whatever you want I would be going on like a goofy idiot myself... And because I was having a great time with it I certainly hope someone wouldn't hit me in the back of the head with something...

yeah the breaker bar deal is a little rash, I think he needs a little ***** slapping in the face.

I don't know I think any threats via the Internet are a little yelling out the passenger side of a window of a speeding car threat... Likely if you met him without a predisposed opinion that probably wouldn't be the case..
