They are only $99 dollars new.

I have several used. But here is the problem. They are very hard to install where they are located. There is very little room. I am on my 3rd used one first two are stuck. The rebuild kits are only $15 . but unless you know for sure it is good inside your taking a chance on a 50 year old valve that could be a safety issue.

Classic industries sells them new and the are the later style. Later style has the preferred 2 piece piston. two out of the three I checked that I had were frooze and couldn't even get them apart for rebuild. Used they are worth about $10 unless they are rebuilt. click the link below and be confident your getting one that works. After all this is your brakes you are talking about. Also always use new never opened DOT 4 fluid with these valves to prevent moisture. DOT three is why most of them are junk after 50 years.

See the difference of the internals in the link below. There is a lot of little parts that get stuck. They also sell rebuild kits which I would recommend done before anyone sells them to someone. You never know whats inside those old crusty parts.

Factory service manuals state that these valves are not serviceable. That doesn't stop the aftermarket from offering kits. If there service techs could rebuild transmissions, carbs, etc., but not this valve... there had to be a reason. Safety related maybe?

I got the kits Yesterday , My son is doing two of them today. I have so many that I have to give it a try for my own cars. If they don't work. I am buying one from Classic industries. My son told me if I get the seals he can rebuild anything as long as it comes apart and is not corroded inside. So for me I am trying it for $15.00.

If I didn't have them for free I would not buy a used one. And my advise to anyone that needs one . Buy it new. I can sell them but I never did. I gave some away but how can you charge someone for something you really don't know the condition of. And I know there will be guys that will say I just took it off and it worked fine. You are still taking that chance. Like I said above they are 50 years old.

If the ones that my son rebuilds and work I will give whats left that I don't need to someone that wants to do there own.

One other thing. If you are putting 4 wheel disc on a street car with the same diameter tires front and rear. You can use the drum brake splitter. For a car with different size or rated tires such as a car with slicks you should use an adjustable one.

Hey fellas, this is a wanted thread. All good information but it should be discussed in a brake thread. Thanks.

This man posted this ad. I am replying to him. I could be saving his life and also offering him one for free and why they are free. If this was a for sale ad i would not interfere. This is a wanted ad and giving advice is as important as giving him the valve for free.
