Stop in for a cup of coffee

In Norway it is common to have the faucet inside the basement, and it is made so that the pipe from it goes out through the concrete and it is a long rod that also comes out. So, when you open or shut it everything happens on the inside, but the connection is on the outside. It is made to prevent the thing to freeze in the wintertime. Must be something similar here too, at least in the chillier states in this lovely country.

Yep, that's basically what I put in. The seat is at the end of the valve at the inside of the wall. The ball valve on the inside wall is just a back-up service valve
