I have a 66 Dart that has 13” wheels. They are steel rims with the chrome hubcaps. Looking to replace the tires but having a hard time finding them. Anyone have a resource to get that size? They are P175/80R13

I also would like to paint the rims. My paint code is YY1. Are there any places I can order some rattle cans to touch up the rims with?

Try Coker tires for the tires. But you will NOT like the price. UNLESS YOU ARE GOING FOR A 100 POINT RESTORATION, GO TO 14" WHEELS AND TIRES. Nobody will notice, and it will open the door to a lot more size options.

I have used this auto touchup paint company before. Their paint is an EXCELLENT match.

I have gotten the rattle can car color mixed at O'Reilly's. Call first, not all of their stores mix paint.
They'd also have your rattle can primer and clear if you needed it.
A member was posting somewhere a couple days ago he had a nice set of used 13" tires. He also lives in CA and drives a Dart.
I'll find his post and send him your way.

I looked for 13" tires and all I found were trailer tires in that size. I bought some 13" tires for my perfect oem rally wheels on my barracuda and they looked funky on the car. I bought some 14" American Racing wheels and BF Goodrich radial TA tires and I love the look of the period correct combo.

Go to 185/70/13. Much easier to find, almost same diameter and cheaper.

Hi,

I have 4 tires for sale, but I guess you want new tires you can drive on. Mine are two car tires and two trailer tires with reduced speed rating. So, it would be more for someone who need a set of tires during a long term restoration until they are ready to buy brand new ones. All the four tires I have is very little used.

Anyway, I went to American tire and bought tires there, 175/80R14.

If you go to my restoration thread, you can see how my car looked on the tires it came with. Then as the thread goes, you will suddenly see the car with white walls on which are the new tires. Bought 5 of them for just under $50 a piece, + installing. At the very end of the thread, you can see how they look today, this morning, up close too.

As for rims and painting, from what I understand, in 1965 a Dart had black rims when it was delivered with hub caps that covered the entire rim, while it had rims painted in the body color when it was delivered with the smaller hub caps that only cover the center of the rim. No idea how it was in 1966.

My second 1965 Dodge Dart.

Did you try your local car paint store? Even Walmart for some info?
