I'd like to say hello to everyone here on the FABO site. Just picked up a '71 Plymouth Scamp and I can see that I'm going to need some advice and direction from those of you who have so much more experience with these cars. This one has a 340/4-speed/3.23 setup and a better than decent paint job so for me its a much better starting point than my other money pits.

Thank you - Next time you're here give me a shout.. I will steer (see what I did there?) you to much better steak than BT. Although everyone should go there once just for the experience.

We really enjoyed the BT, and honestly the steak was great!.. but i'm sure the locals know the best places around town...
P.S. - I had to read your post twice! For a second, I thought you were buyin'... :poke:

May I be the first Canadian to welcome you to the site!
Good looking car you have, BTW............

Thanks much everyone... Somehow I feel like I'm cheating with this one since I really didn't have a hand in its creation. But it is fun to drive, and though I'm not a big fan of low profile tires on older rides (these are 17's) they are starting to grow on me. The Electrical system has some of the typical gremlins and that will be the first order of business. Anyway, thanks again for rolling out the welcome mat!

Welcome from the DFW, Great town, love the Ranch and the big Texan, but my steak, not the 72, wasn't that great. Nice Car!

Nice looking Scamp. Welcome from Dallas
What Ducati do you ride?
Had a 900SS and then moved to a Streetfighter 848... Loved the bike but decided after a half dozen near misses in Austin traffic that riding was no longer tenable for my longevity - So I no longer ride.. but i do miss that unmistakable Ducati sound..

Austin is as bad as Dallas, I have a buddy in Georgetown I have been riding with for 40 years....

Yeah it got to the point of just not worth it to even put the gear on. A ride to the coast and back or out in the Hill country was usually uneventful ... but commuting without a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range was just gonna give me a stroke.
