Flash that code 12If thats an OBD-1 car....you might as well be putting a hemi in it.lol about the same amount of interface.

Lol. OBD1 and OBD2 are very different animals. On OBD1- you used to be able to do a key sequence, and the lights would flash to show codes.what is flash code 12 ?
OBD1 cars: we used to jump the ALDL connector with a paper clip to flash trouble codes. The first flash was "blink", blink- blink" (code 12) Then it would flash the trouble codes and then 12 again.what is flash code 12 ?
Well, me and my son were laugh'n about some SS badges and a LS swap... He just bought the car today for a work carLol. OBD1 and OBD2 are very different animals. On OBD1- you used to be able to do a key sequence, and the lights would flash to show codes.
I had a buddy LS swap an OBD1 camaro. by the time he replaced the entire harness, Dash, gauges, SOME of the OEM stuff worked. lol
Thanks... Hopefully we don't need to trouble shoot it... LOL. 3.8 V6OBD1 cars: we used to jump the ALDL connector to flash trouble codes. The first flash was "blink", blink- blink" (code 12) Then it would flash the trouble codes and then 12 again.
Gotcha! I wasn't poking fun. The OBD thing just make me laugh in memory of the difficulties it was. we sell a ton of 500+ HP LS engines, and tons of them go into F-Bodies. Turns them into absolute monsters.Well, me and my son were laugh'n about some SS badges and a LS swap... He just bought the car today for a work car
I'll correct it for you - How about my 318 does the slapp'n on this camaroI think you owe it to us to slap a 318 in there and see what it will run
that's no fun, it prolly does that alreadyI'll correct it for you - How about my 318 does the slapp'n on this camaro
Yep, 3.8 with the aluminum intake. So actually, the 3.8 was a better set up in these than the Buicks/Olds in same years (they had plastic intakes known for issues)That Camaro looks like a 3.8L car (which is a damn good engine, to be honest.
If it was a V8, it wouldn’t be an LSx. That would have been a 275hp LT-1.
Just being a know it all.
So why is it that Mopar guys know a lot about the other brands but the Chevy guys think a Duster is a Nova! LOLThat Camaro looks like a 3.8L car (which is a damn good engine, to be honest.

because if chevy guys knew what we know, they wouldn't keep driving chevies, they'd buy a dusterSo why is it that Mopar guys know a lot about the other brands but the Chevy guys think a Duster is a Nova! LOL
Bingo! We have a winner!because if chevy guys knew what we know, they wouldn't keep driving chevies, they'd buy a duster
I think the long block would be the same, but the '96 Series II would have a plastic intake/plenum from that Olds. The Camaro's got an aluminum intake. The plastic intakes were notorious for putting anti-freeze in cylinders. The plenum would burn out by the EGR pipe and coolant runs right next to it... and oops!Would a 3.8 from a 1996 Olds 98 fit in that car?
I had "minor" irritation with the Mustang sitting in the drive, but I broke out with an out-right rash with this Camaro there just after 2 hrs !!!As long as you're not swapping it into a Mopar, have at it.
