What Do You Do When It's Raining (and you are "retired")?

It rains very seldom here, and when it does, passes through in an hour or two.

However, the past 48 hours it has been coming down constantly. Both times I took my dog for a short walk (during what I thought was a break in the weather) I arrived back home with my clothes soaked through. Forecast of two more days of the same.

Now I am just going back and forth between FABO and FBBO websites like a fool and can't seem to stop.

I made a double batch of chicken chili this morning. The neighbor's mom died and the funeral is tomorrow.

Go visit friends-----------Cook------------Catch up on bookwork-----------binge stream car shows----------All the usual------------

I here you dibbons nothing but rain here then 2' of snow. Been stuck at home for a few days and after cleaning snow just don't want to do anything and am bored.
 
With the possibility of retirement within a year or so, this topic has crossed my mind several times.
Rain has always meant NO WORK in the construction field where I live. I am accustomed to packing in the tools and going inside. Once I am retired, it is up to ME as to what I do. I don't mind doing some things in the rain.
 
I have no idea, I still have about 3 more years to work. I'd like to think that I'll be building a nice '66 Valiant in my garage, but once I'm retired, I'm not sure I'll have the money to build another car.

Hmmmm, I think it's time to start planning.

I don't do that, but I do sit outside naked. lol It's amazing how rain helps old skin. lol
Funny thing is, the women jogging by never give a second look. lol

A rainy day is a good day for a nap. :)

Know what u mean . Sucks when the weather is bad , hate cold weather too !
Supposed to start around 10 here .

Oh man, you're supposed to do that in the back yard, not on the front porch...lol
 
I don't have to worry about this. I'll probably have a heart attack, die in my chair at work in my corner in front of my computer screens, and nobody will notice until the network goes down in flames. They'll all come in yelling at a corpse, and I'll enjoy it watching from above. Scratch that, from below.. down there I can look up skirts :)
 
Usually reorganize the garage, sort out things to be sold, or rebuild other parts. Always a project to get done. Maybe this winter I will actually get to that Desoto Hemi and 4 speed slated for the 67 Barracuda. Other than that there is a Lazy Boy and a 200w stereo with Infinity RS-III speakers or Route 66, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., or an old western.
 
Been retired for more than a year and I get bored when it's crappy outside. I watch old westerns and waste a lot of time on my laptop.
 
When I am between contracts(retired military) I hit happy hour at the Mexican restaurant up the road and stare at the waitresses.

Ok, I do that when it’s sunny too.
