One of my tasks today was to remove the windows from the door. I will tell you now, I failed. I found the adjusters at the front and bottom of the vent window/front rail, as well as the bolt hidden under the trim cap in the front. I was even successful at unbolting and removing the regulator, and removing the plastic stop at the back lower corner of the glass. From what I can tell, there are NO more fasteners left on this door. I still cant get the darn thing to budge... meaning the vent window. The door glass goes up and down just fine. What could I possibly be missing? I have a shop manual, and it has instructions on removing, but there is something that I have to be missing.

Did you loosen the allen head bolt that is accessed through a small hole on the interior side of the door underneath the vent window?

Seems this is a popular topic lately. PM me your email and I'll send you what I documented when I removed my door glass.

Do you need to take it out/apart? We took both my doors and 1/4 windows and and apart and man its a ***** getting that all to line back up again. Especially the 1/4 windows to roof and door glass.

30 years ago I took my car apart having no clue about how to do it, never thought about the service manual having that info (I had the factory service manual).
I ended up pulling the vent out leaving the door glass in the door and then taking the glass out, not sure the particulars but that is what I did.

20 years later (life) I'm putting the car back together and I tried to understand the factory service manual and gave up. After fighting with it for a few days I came up with a way that was so simple it is hard to think it isn't the proper way.

No felts, fuzzies or sweeps installed or the rear upper seal (the rubber coated seal near the rear top corner). Take the window and vent assembly with the door glass up and the assembly right side up, from the rear of the door lift the assembly high enough to get the bracket at the bottom of the vent assembly to go through the opening at the back of the door, keep the assembly elevated and move forward, once the front of the assembly clears the brace in the door lower it into place, done, takes about 10 seconds. Obviously the reverse should work to take it apart.

Okay yeah I missed the Allen screw. Ai also need to take out the belt line felts. The door is complete tore down now and ready for sanding.
