904 Shifter Decision

I’m about getting ready to start my interior reinstall and I’m up in the air as to what shifter I want after some thought. It’ll be a mostly street with strip car and I do plan on a manual valve body. My car is a column shifter but I have a B & M floor shifter. Having gone from a /6 to a V8 and still staying with a 904 and not having much of a reference from either another A body or personal knowledge, what would be the easier route? Staying with a column and getting the pieces I need, or installing the floor shifter and getting the remaining pieces for that? From my lack of knowledge, for my 904 if I was to do the floor shifter what parts does a person need for it? I know I’ll need a 727 shift lever and that’s it. All I have is the floor shifter and nothing else.
If I went with the column, all I would need is the kick down and throttle cable(brackets as well)? The only thing missing is the /6 904 trans but everything else stayed with the car transmission wise. Sorry if these seem like dumb questions but I’ll admit I’m still learning about things as I go along.
