I have two 340 six pack intakes. One has part number 3418682 and also says LD6B. The second has part number 3418681 but no LD6B. I think the 681 could be an original but not sure. Any way to tell?

O.K. the 3418681 is O.E., the one with the LD6B is over the counter Edelbrock that anyone could buy, the 3418682 was a after market one that Edelbrock made but only a few and went back to the 81 part #. Not sure what that was all about but I have only seen about 3 of them.

The LD6B one is like brand new. Looks like as-cast inside of it. If they went back to the 81 PN, how do you tell an original from a replacement? Is there any way to say 100% that it came on a TA or AAR?

thats what i was told on mine . i did get the factory air cleaner with it . but this one fits the 64 barracuda its set for . 340 6pck should move my little cuda around , lol .

Looks like it has another hole in it, It's a 69 440 that was drilled for a 340. The one holes that is different is only about 3/4" off from a 340 to a 440.

i did this on my 440 6pck hotrod set up . put the trans shift kick down in the throttle linkage . cleaned it up .

Why did you write casting numbers on my wall on my profile page?

Nice, what’s the cfm rating of the carbs?

Everyone here is correct in that the 81 part number is Edelbrock OE and did come on the TA or AAR. The LD6B is Edelbrock aftermarket. E
