new old one from germany =:-)

Did you change cam? I noticed you put new timing set and dial indicator to degree existing cam? Or new cam? Just curious.
No, I bought the car with the info
.... Comp cam 292h installed.
But the car wasn't performing the way I expected.
So I went from top to bottom.
As I removed the vale covers, I found a pair of sollid rocker, instead of the adustable roller rocker, that schould have been installed.
So I ordered a set of Comp Cam ultra pro magnum roller rockers, and a adjustable timing set.
Unfortunately the grinded number of the cam is on the back side, near the distributor.
So to be sure it wasa 292H, I pulled ist....
Was a good idea, because I had the chance to inspect the lifter as well.
I ordered a adjustable timing gear set and after simulating the whole engine in Dynosim, I decided to iinstall the cam at 104°ICL, because it produces enough power from 3000rpm up, but the low end is a bit weak.
The converter has a stall speed in this combo arround 2800rpm, so I think it's o.k.
The transmission is a A999 - good for the light A-body.
I had a lot of work over the past two years, and I am looking foreward to drive it next year.
My daily drive is a Dodge Ram1500 (5,7 Hemi), so for german conditions in everyway better than driving a Volkswagen :-)
