Oh sorry it has distribitor, coil, spark plug wires and spark plugs edelbrock coil

Lol what kind of information you looking for? Motor size? Transmission? Vin?
Worked for Forrest and he wasnt all that bright.
Post more info, reading this gives me urges that I have to go to confession for.
Absolutely zero info. Cmon man.

^^Are you a troll or what^^ If you are SERIOUS, cough up the year, make model ofyour car. What kind of ignition? Specifically? Does it have factory wiring, or an aftermarket harness, or what?

Ya know, NOBODY is paying any of us to type this stuff. If you really want help this is a two way street.

Oh sorry. 1970 Dart swinger w 408 stroker, 4 speed, stock ignition, edeldrock coil and wires. NGK plugs.

Stock ignition on a '70 Dart is POINTS, so look there first. Possibly the distributor has rubbed a wire bare too, so look closely at the inner workings. You may find a dwell meter handy in setting new points.

OK now we are making progress what have you checked so far? Start with gapping/inspecting the points and check the condenser ios not shorted.

It's tough diagnosing this stuff over the internet. Sometimes these threads go on for pages before the car owner finds the problem and gets it fixed.

Fixed. lol

OK. Honestly, with a situation like this, the only chance of being helpful is by going to the very begining.

Need three things.
1. What is meant by 'no spark'.
2. When did this happen, and explain what happened. In other words, condition when 'no spark' occured.
3. Type of ignition system.

Without these it would take hours to type out the possibilities.

Car could have been driving down the freeway and the engine died, or the key was turned to start and nothing happened.
Very different situations to diagnose.
It may not even be a spark problem.
Nothing to go on here.
