What am I looking at?

Form the pics, I don't think you need to replace the full quarters.. on a notch, that's a big deal, as they don't make aftermarket notch quarters.. you'd have to modify a fastback quarter. Patches are easier Pics when you can get them, the gods on here will tell you. I think you got a nice car!

That's a good point.

If the weather is nice Saturday I'll be able to pull it out of the garage and get some real photos.

Yeah the previous owner didn't even drive it enough to empty the tank. He said he was just putting 87 in it but only put in a few gallons.

The fuel gauge is also not working so that's my first thing to tackle. Then figure out what to put in the tank. Baby steps lol.

ONE THING YOU NEED TO KNOW! The lug nuts on the driver's side are probably left-hand thread! It's an odd old Mopar thing. They are left-hand on my '69. Just wanted to let you know before you took an impact to them and broke off some studs :)
As for the gas, I'd probably run no ethanol with a lead additive if that's the original engine, but the guys on here will know much better than me.

A few other things I've thought of you may want to know:
Your car probably has a 4" bolt pattern on the wheels, which is an a-body anomaly.. most Mopars and Fords run a 4 1/2" bolt pattern. A lot of people swap the parts out for a newer a-body which has the 'big bolt pattern', which increases your choice of wheels greatly.
You'll see small bolt pattern referred to as 'SBP' and big pattern referred to as 'BBP' on here.

You can download a factory service manual for your car here:
MyMopar - Mopar Forums & Information - Service Manuals
You'll see that referred to as 'FSM' on here.

If you have the fender tag, usually mounted on the drivers side fender under the hood, you can decode it here:
MyMopar - Mopar Forums & Information - 1969-1974 Mopar Fender Tag Decoder
Read the instructions carefully. This will tell you how close your car is to factory original.

For the gas gauge issue, post that question in the 'Fuel and Air Systems' forum on this site.

Welcome to the club, man!

Thanks so much!

I really can't wait to start diving in and having fun with the car. Making it shine and learning all I can.

Remember that the newer (bio-gasoline) will eat all the rubber hoses in the gas delivery system and any o-rings/seals in the carb. You'll need swap all the rubber lines to the high pressure newer hose material that can handle the newer gasolines. In my carbs I use "Vitron???"seals/gaskets/o-rings in the carb.

You'll learn a ton about these cars on here! There are people on here that live, eat, sleep with these cars on their minds, and it's and absolute goldmine to newbies like me. Read all you can.. ask if you're unsure. There is a ton of experience on here, it's awesome!
You might get a few 'brash' responses.. be as clear as you can, and pics always help! Some times people get a bit 'nasty' on here.. a bad day can cause a terse reply sometimes (and in my case, alcohol plays a part!, lol). Take it with a grain. It's a great resource, and most want to help out.

I used to own a mitsubishi lancer evolution and had a similar experience on evolutionm.net

Just gotta hope for the best and make do with what you got.
