What they are teaching in college nowadays

This got derailed already and went from WTF is going on in college to a gender studies argument.

When I went to college, things were still not bad, that was in the 90's. people were getting ready to save the world from Y2K and just focusing on the work at hand. Little did I know the institutionalized liberals from the early 70's were finally getting the foothold they wanted. I say institutionalized liberals because they are the ones who never left the universities. They were the weak minded ones who liked the ease at which they could make changes and have power in a meeting filled with a captive audience instead of going out into the world and just being good people (yes, some liberals are good decent people who don't want our rights taken away, and in fact would like more protected, and I'm about as conservative as you can get). They worked their ways into positions of decision making roles while the rest of us lived out lives and did our thing.

What we have now is the result of complacency by conservatives, and a bunch of narcissists in positions of power who don't care about anything then using everything at there disposal to make their own feelings seem justified. If they actually cared about "people" in general, they'd not just be our for one side of the aisle.

We used to support going to college. Not anymore. We sat and watched my eldest son's high school completely ignore trade schools etc, adopt a policy in which students could turn in work late and still get credit etc. All to help pump up numbers and get money from universities they were a feeder to.

The community college visit we had, was enlightening since one of the presenters was from the 4 year system and bashing the high schools for doing this. Turns out, they LOVE community college transfers because they are statistically more successful students and make the 4 year places look good.

We as parents, have been bombarded with the idea that if you don't have a "degree", you're not work the ground you walk on. I never believed that, but it's what they push. The high school NEVER mentioned trades or military as options, EVER. Heck, even the trade schools have started calling there programs "degrees"... it all sickens me....
