This is an incredible car with a heartwarming back story...amazing stuff. Congratulations on reclaiming a piece of family history!!
Can I ask a totally honest question here? Please don't take this as a criticism of the car.
Were the rear quarters rusty? What could have caused this? I had always assumed that exposure to the elements (especially winter road treatments) were the culprit.
For the record, it wouldn't matter if this car was a rusted hulk. IMO, it would be worth any amount of investment of time and energy.
