I have held onto these for many years but never got the car to mount them on. These gills are in exceptional condition, with a little of the black paint flaking. One gill has ten bubbles on the end that are about the size of a pinprick. Hardly noticeable once mounted on a car. Parts are in Harlem GA 30814. Price is $300 plus 15 for shipping.

I was wondering where these go, I have a 68 barracuda but I haven't seen anything like them on mine. Maybe it's something that's missing.

Those are Custom Sill Moldings. They can be seen in some factory sales literature. They were optional by themselves, or in the Sport option package. They were also included in a Spring Special type of mid-year sales package. Somewhere I read that they were installed on a fairly low percentage of cars.

My '68 has them and they are indeed called "custom sill mouldings". They were a seldom ordered option. These "gills" are paired with a "spear" that reaches to the front wheel moulding. On mine, the factory painted the lower sill argent below the "spear". The hardest part to find is the spear.

That's interesting , I never knew there were gills on the earlier barracudas. I had heard about them on the 70 and up cuda. They must be rare, I don't remember seeing anything like that at Carlisle. That would be cool to see in person. Thank you for the pics.
