Cheap Engine/trans dolly

Yes the T shaped dollies are great for engine, trans and suspension all in one, and I am in the process of building one of those. However this is for storing just a complete engine from oil pan to carb seperate of all that. More compact storage. Need a complete V6 or V8 stored under your workbench, this is your dolly. When I rid the V6 from this dolly, I will probably lengthen it as I think I made it a bit too short for a V8. Compact enough to pitch behind my shop when not in use once I paint it to prevent rust.

I really like yours! I want to build some of those, but i had everything laying around here to make this. Like you said in your thread, it'd be a nice project for learning welding skills, which I definitely need :) Looking at yours, you could do some add on things to use it for other stuff when you don't have an engine on it. You could make a bolt on steel plate for the top to use it for a dolly for other things, or make a seat for on top and a shelf below for tools, and use it for brake jobs or whatever.
