I wonder if they will ever confirm who he was? Maybe he is a member on this site? Jk Guess he was smarter than they thought.

Love watching true crime shows. Is the show back on?
What serial killer did they just catch recently?? Green River?
 
Will they ever get the real Son of Sam ?
The real Jack the Ripper.
The real JFK shooter............

Green River killer was a Mopar guy. They showed pictures on the news of a 68 Dart and a Sweptline that the police were trying to track down for evidence.
 
As long as the killling stopped, it is probably as good as it will ever get. He is likely long dead.
 
Green river=Gary Ridgway...not who I was thinking.
Golden State Killer, Joseph DeAngelo, ex cop is who I was thinking.
Zodiac killer could possibly be dead, is it still an active case? I liked the show, would like to see more.
I remember as a child listening to the radio and hearing regularly about Son of Sam. Caught my attention and interest way back then.

I got my driver's license the day they caught him in the summer of '77. In New York back then, you'd take your test, without immediately knowing the outcome. The result came in the mail a few agonizing days later, in my case the day they got Berkowitz. Doubly memorable.
 
Oh, and Arthur Shawcross' girlfriend lived in our little village, and he visited her often, but I don't recall ever seeing him. They caught him revisiting one of his victims he'd dumped about 8 miles away from our home. It was pretty scary for the sex workers for a couple of years.
 
Wow, what a travesty letting him out the 1st time.(I just read all of wiki on him).
Hard to believe he got away with so many murders with sub par IQ.

Violent criminals on parole re-offending is a serious problem here in NY. Those in power get much of their support from those sympathetic to the criminal class. To keep that part of their base secure, they are soft on crime. Even to the extent that those with felony convictions can vote after serving their full sentence.
