950 Ultra XP tuning on 500"

Is it just me, or are those boosters not even installed all the way? They are not even flush against the carburetor body. Dammit man.

It ain't you. They ain't flush. And where in HELL did the brass come from? There's no brass around the boosters!!!

It's not a big deal to take the booster out and re-install it correctly. That should have never gotten past QC.

Ok , you guys are second guessing a race carb on the street? Cocksucker every one of you, it's a drag race carb do you not know the difference. It's NOT a street carburetor......period DUH

I've dynoed it my e-85 against a Holley race 9380. For the stupid In the crowd follow the waves ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the rest there was a bump of 30hp for the e ⁸⁵ the rest I don't care.

How does the carb know it's a race or a street carb? That doesn't make any sense.

It is absolutely the poorest workmanship I have seen to date. Now all I want is my money back. Hopefully Monday when the merchandise is returned... waiting on UPS. I can tell you this. Petrick James answered all my emails within 15mins and offered my a full refund plus my expenses. In my book that's as good as it gets, and as for his business practices.... I bet he's going to take a closer look at what's happening down on the assembly floor. The whole experience is shocking, alot of hype and advertising and absolute garbage.

Patrick certainly needs to take a look at his final QC before stuff gets out the door.

Mistakes happen (although I'm still stumped on how the brass got behind the booster...I've changed hundreds of boosters and never had any brass in there) but you have to look at things with your EYES before they go in the box. You just have to do it.

Hope you get your money back.

Question for those who are happy with their past PS purchases........

Would you be satisfied with what the OP received if you ordered another carb from them?

A lot of small companies, especially those that start out as a one or two man operation, as the business grows....... the ones who were responsible for the popularity and growth of the business in the first place end up spending way more time “managing” the now larger business....... and way less time doing the hands on work that was at the core of what got them there.
So, people get hired to increase production..... and often times they don’t have the same skill set, or frame of mind to actually do the job “the best they can”, and quality can take a down turn.

Looks like PS could stand to implement some additional QC steps.

Im telling ya ... he had a new employee .

Had being the operative word .

How it made it thru QC is another story.

Or it was intercepted in shipping and main body was swapped..Lol

No, I sure wouldn’t be happy if I got that. I would give them a chance to make it right. I know all to well what ur saying about employees. Kim

I will post up the outcome come Monday. UPS tracking shows it scheduled for delivery Monday.

Yeah, same here.

But I doubt I'll ever need another carburetor the rest of my life. I seem to be spending all my money replacing the arrows I keep ruining when practicing with my compound bow.

... A friend of mine has a PS 1000cfm We took a closer at it yesterday to compare the old to the new. We found the tune is almost identical except his is now square jetted and has the PV plugged. If you look closely down in to the main body, it looks as though there are 4 tubes coming from the idle circuit.... Anyone know for certain what they are?

A quick bump to see if Woodie has an update.
Pro systems refunded all my costs and the shipping both ways.. I looked into AED carburetors as well as a couple others. In the end I placed an order with AED. I will follow up once it arrives.
