Went today. Seemed like a down year again. Seems like the show is losing its steam. I know the Spring Fling is always better attended than the Fall, but this is as slow as I have seen any of the shows in many many years. The car club needs to step up the advertising, or something if they want it to continue. JD .02

I was there all day in the swap, it was my best year ever, more than double my best swap. Got rid of 90% of my stuff, most of what I have left will probably end up in the scrap metal pile.

Yea there was a lack of venders. I didn’t see a whole bunch of A-body parts. Not like I’m used to, at least Didn’t find an A-body fan shroud for a 22” radiator. Nor any 1970 Dart fender extensions. I will definitely be going in the spring.

I want to build a Hemi after seeing a Hemi Belvedere and roadrunner. Lol.

Thanks for the deal on that spacer ALAN!

Yup i know that for sure, also they should of had a mass email sent out saying yes the show is going on.

I posted on Facebook, Instagram and it was posted on our www.cpwclub.com homepage. Responded to all email pretty quick.

We need to do mass emails.

Anyone out there suggest Mail Chimp for mass emails? Or something else?

oh dang i dont have instagram or facebook, but ya you guys did respond quick on email thanks!

Did you guys buy anything in the swap meet?

Did you try the new Froyo (frozen yogurt) or Mexican Food trucks?

This is what I bought in the swap...

$30: 727/833 std yolk output shaft. I think it’s NOS aftermarket replacement that had some shelf rust. I cleaned that up with 220 then 400 grit sandpaper real quick. for my 68 Cuda

$15: std yolk 10 spline 742/741 case rear end input yolk. Can feel just tiniest indentation groove. Not even close to catching your fingernail. For my 68 Cuda because I fear I may break the ear off the current one trying to remove it (attempted once already)

$60: repro take off a show car A/B body door handles. For my 68 Dart or Cuda

$40: set of uncut 69? Dart door panels to temporarily run in my 68 Cuda

$15: old school steel Black and Decker “Work Mate” fold up work stand

$20: 50ft air hose real barely used. Said it wouldn’t retract 10% of the time. Tested fine to me.

Free someone gave me a steering coupler safety wire for helping price leftover parts of his deceased father in law who had a 70 Hemi GTX and 70 340 Duster (long sold)... that will go right on my 68 Cuda

Yeah thanks Steve, I was looking for the thread of swap meet scores! My first time in Oklahoma missing the fling.

I got a set of A-body used springs with front mounts for $40, missed out on a complete front 5x4 disc brake setup for $125. There were a few other items I was tempted to buy but didn't pull the trigger (was on the prowl for early A-body 4 speed items)

I might have the shroud you're looking for, been dragging one around for 16 yrs, its hiding behind a shelf in the garage. I'll go look.

When a group of off duty mopar enthusiast cops hang out by the red curb to sneak tickets onto the windows of cars/trucks who are stepping out for 5 min to pick a part up... you bet you're *** that show and those locals doing that can kiss my ***
Back stabbing cowards.

I think that was a brake setup my friend was selling that was just a customer take-off. It was a running driving car.

But I think it was a scarebird setup with that flat plate caliper adapter and GM metric caliper. Not the most robust setup.

I think I saw some early Abody pedal setups. Saw the early pedal pads. Might have been B-body

Then I won't kick myself too much! And what was dead by the dumpsters!? Every time I walked by that end of the swap meet It smelled like something died!

Oh there was certainly something dead by those dumpsters. They need to take care of that! Peeeeewwwww!

Have no idea what this has to do with what I said, but ok.
