Went to the welding store to swap out a tank, get some tips and new welding pliers (cant find mine??)

I saw this hood on display and i never should have picked it up.....its nice and light, has a great big viewing window and epic head gear.. so i put it on and DAM!!! It is nice!! I evee like the graphics on it.

I ask my buddy about it who works there and he says, man they are slick. We been selling quite a few.

After playing with it and checking my account balance i said "screw it, i want one!"

The sticker on it said 485.00, i paied 430 with a extra pack of lense covers thrown in. So not bad.

This sucker is the Cadillac of hoods. It wont flash from back light, auto sets the tinnt and the head gear, man it is COMFORTABLE!

I kinda flipped through the instructions looks like it will dam near make you a sammich if you set it too..

I know to most ot seems like to much money but i always tell folks buy the best hood you can afford. Then they ask well im just learning, i can get a nice hood down the road.. WRONG...

:)

For someone like me that wears a hood A LOT. its worth every penny...

Man i am pumped on this sucker. I now have 3 Miller hoods, a lincon, a oldschool non auto hood, a HF hood someone left here and one more that i cant remember the brand of. This one blows them all away!

So if you can afford it and you are looking for an excellent hood. I highly recommend this one!

Those Miller's are sweet!! Very nice I dont spend enough time behind one to spend that much money but if I did that is a must have safety first!!

Is it air conditioned too. lol It's nice to have the best tools for your trade, very nice!

You will not be disappointed, i can assure you of that. I've been welding professionally for about 18 years and this is the best hood ive ever owned or used!

Just looked at the price on your link, that is a GREAT DEAL!!!

I sure am glad i didn't pay full price but dam i did get poked in the butt a little!!

:rofl::BangHead:

This is a great hood. I used this hood 5 days a week about 10 hours a day when I used to weld for a living. I’ve got no complaints about this hood. So far it’s the best I’ve owned

Ive had my big window elite for 15 years with a 1.75 magnifier.
Cyberweld.com has the best prices

I got a miller that is about 10 years old and it still works great, I talked my buddy into buying one a month ago and he loves it I think it's the same one but just in black.

I have a very old miller flash and another that is about 10 years old. Both still work but they are miles away from this one.

I looked at the one in black but didn't have all the bells and whistles of this one.

Just got the Miller Digital Infinity in Black, should be here in a couple of Days $256(cyberweld) +$25 off also

If I even seriously welded part-time as in twice a week I would definitely have one of those let alone more...
That's badass and I'm happy for you!..
I assume it's close and form-fitting so you can get your head and that helmet into tight places...

Just ran a bunch of welds today, Its a bit heavier than my big window elite. I had to tinker with the fit for a while. The clarity is incredible. I can see the puddle way better now. A great piece. However, tight spaces are out.

That is just great ! Being able to see really good when welding makes for some nice looking welds. Less gobs to grind off from the starts, stops, and off track runs.

Nice . . .

I really like my fancy Lincoln helmet, but it is irritating when light from behind triggers the lens to darken. I like that option a lot.
PS, now that you bought a new pair of welding pliers, you will certainly find your old ones.

I don't have that much to spend (not nearly that much), but I do have $60 to burn at Home Depot. I have never used an auto darkening lens and I really can't see well enough out of my fixed lens to start a weld (mostly use touch and guess...). I'm thinking about getting this one. I do very little welding in tight spaces, actually do very little welding at all...
Lincoln Electric Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet with Variable Shade Lens No. 9-13 (1.73 x 3.82 in. Viewing Area), Galaxis Design-K4438-1 - The Home Depot

I just bought a nice auto darkening helmet from Eastwood. 90 bucks shipped. It adjust from 5 to 12, really nice hood

Picked up the Lincoln last night. Thought about using it today, but spent all day looking for impossible-to-find little parts for my Barracuda. Got some things better organized, though...
