Brother sent a text and PG&E shut them down. He has a Ginny but only 5 Gallons of fuel. Near the Sacramento/ Folsom area. This crap should not happen in today’s world! What is wrong over there? Killing power to save a lawsuit due to mismanagement!

I won't beat the political dead horse as I am sure we all agree.....

My observations from San Diego: We had an unusually heavy "wet season" in the beginning of the year which made tons of overgrowth. Weeds and grass grow super fast in desert and arid climates when there is water. Over the summer that growth died and dried out so everywhere is a tinderbox waiting for a spark. The hill behind us is about 4 times overgrown than it was last year. It's going to be a heavy fire season.

The hills all around the Getty Center here in L.A. are on fire, I can taste the smoke in the air. Second brush fire in L.A. in as many weeks in densely populated areas...

I agree with seabee, its gonna be bad this year.

My mother in law and her husband live in San Rafael, they are without power, and are both in their 80's.
Hoping they will be ok till the power comes back.

I’m praying u guys and ur possessions will be alright. Kim

Thanks! I'm more worried about the folks in rural areas, though. Concentrate your prayers their way!

This is what i'm worried about. How many people will suffer because power was cut?? My mom suffers from asthma and relies on a HEPA filter running so she can breathe... if my parents' power was cut, she'd be in the hospital pretty quick.

Looks like they are supposed to have hurricane force winds out there between today and tomorrow. With all that fire........
