Two action packed days of Slant 6 Drag Racing with 1/4 mile racing on Saturday at Tulsa and 1/8 mile racing on Sunday at Mo-Kan Dragway, Asbury,MO. See some of the best slant 6 powered cars in middle America compete. A supercharged Duster from Minnesota should smash the records for his weight class. From Texas, a Hyper-Pak equipped '62 Lancer station wagon! SDRA Slant 6 Dragsters! Slowest car competing last year, my '66 Dart slant 6, 4 speed wagon. Come on out and race with us! Weather looks great for some quick ETs.

Well it's back from old school Chrysler engineering, but it's tight, maybe an inch to the shock washer, even closer to the battery on the linkage. Little known fact, a young engineer worked on this Hyper Pak program in the late 50's. His name was Tom Hoover. You might remember him as the father of the 426 Hemi.
 
Right ! Tom Hoover designed the Hyper Pak BEFORE the almighty 426 Hemi.
I sure miss the Slant Six racers. I raced many years ago at Tulsa.Nice track..
Still have a Slant on the docket,I hope to finish it before I get too old.

ALTHO IT HAS GROWN SOME IN THE LAST FEW YRS. , IT WILL PROBLY BE ONE OF THE SMALLEST YOU`LL EVER ATTEND.
The people that run the track always puts it at the end of the yr, almost into bad weather , usually starts out cold , sometimes stays that way. Or windy !
They prep the track some , but don't maintain it , the treaded tires usually f---/mess it up ! Most always end up going slower thru out the day.
Tulsa is a chevy town for the most part.

The Tulsa race is a go.
The Mo-Kan Slant 6 Race is rescheduled to the MoPars Invade Mo-Kan Race April 2020.
