Your favorite a body moments summer of 2019.

How about after many, many attempts, I finally got the brakes fixed and bought new tires/wheels so I could drive the thing without taking my life in my hands. Lots of fun!

If I'd had the brakes fixed soon enough I would have entered the Mopar Nationals at Woodburn, but I had to settle for entering the show and getting a trophy. My first show, and first trophy.

The crowning glory, was an evening shaking out the 53 year old, all original factory drive-train (slant, three-on-the-tree, 3.23 open 7-1/4) at the local drags. After a learning curve, it did a best of 19.8 at 68 MPH.

Whew! I scared nobody and lost every race by a country mile (OK, a country quarter mile) but it's a baseline for the winter build. We'll see what happens when I get done with it.
