I don't think many of us like it. And it really doesn't matter if we accept it. I'm glad these buyouts and mergers keep the old US brands alive. But they really aren't American cars anymore anyway and haven't been for a while. In addition to my Duster, I have an '03 Daimler? Neon, and an '09 Journey (Mexican built and not even sure who was running Chrysler at the time) If I was to buy a new vehicle right now, I would certainly not be exclusively looking at 'Mopar'. Maybe a RAM if I wanted a truck... I'd actually like to see some smaller cars back in their lineup. Right now from FCA the only ones available are FIATs. They sell a Neon in Mexico, but not here. Not saying I want a Neon. How bout something new?
