UPS flat rate saves a sale

I bet the different carriers are each cheaper at certain size and weight packages? Otherwise IF UPS was the cheaper on everything, we would just use them always.
I might just become a UPS guy, for my shipping needs. I have to go to the library to print the label, after the post office gives me my weight. Then on to a store in town where the pick up the package.

I was told by the gal at the post office, they charge for the weight, and what they could ship in place of my bigger boxes. So you get tagged for what you send, and what they could have sent instead of your package! A bunch of crap, and why I couldn't ship something ground in my own region? Thanks for sticking it to the working man. I think it's nuts, but since I'm just passing the shipping in to the buyer, it doesn't cost me, but it still irks me.
