<<<Maj. Kong actually says "a fella could have a pretty good weekend in Dallas with all that stuff.." but it was changed to Vegas after Kennedy was killed in Dallas weeks before the opening.>>>

Or How to stop worrying and love the bomb.
Up there with catch 22 and apocalypse now.
Agree except for Catch 22. I like dumb humor, but that movie was too dumb for me. But what do I know. I'm not a movie critic. I think Close Encounters of the Third Kind was one of the WORST movies I ever saw.

My son is bringing over the DVD version to watch tomorrow after the football game is over. He's 26 and super stoked to see it. I'm not sure why, but I guess we'll be watching it tomorrow.

Ha I saw it was on last night and watched it too. Un-edited and commercial free on TCM.

"But he'll see everything! He'll see the big board!"

Back when Blazing Saddles was in the theatres I bought a ticket but walked out 1/2 way thru the flick. I was still a political leftie back then and I guess I was offended.

My how times change.

Slim Pickens did not know the movie was a comedy and played the part "serious"... That made it even funnier.

Mandrake, Dr. Strangelove and the president, I think. Maybe others.
It's a favorite of mine, but I haven't seen it in a long time.
He was supposed to play Maj. Kong also but hurt his leg and could not film that part. Its in the wiki article for what that's worth.
