The bearings had to match there threaded adjuster design.Now why would they do this? Are the bearings bigger/heavier duty? I’m sure there is a good reason. ;)
I once had to rebuild a Chev 3/4 ton truck differential that had those threaded adjusters. Trust me if you do your own builds, those adjusters make life a lot easier while still having the same strength of any Salisbury design axle.
