If there is a ridge. Get a ridge reamer and take it off but do not cut into the bore where the top ring travels to. Only take the ridge down to just a tad smaller then the bore. You only want to eliminate the sharp edge so you don't brake the top ring land on the piston during break in. Ball hone to put 45 degree scratches in the bores . get file fit rings and file the rings to size. Good enough for a boat. If you are close to PA. you could do it here yourself. Get file fit cast rings for the bore you have they will last several years. There is holder to file the rings square . Go to you tube and check it out.
