Crackedback's Harness

-
Was driving my road runner last night and thinking about the great improvement of this simple to install harness.

Wow! Is my reaction every time I switch my headlights on at night.

Along with his relay kit, I put in GE Nighthawk headlights.

I’ve got several sets of nighthawks. I need to put a set in my Duster and see how much it improves

Thanks for the positive comments regarding my harness.

People will spend money on LED lights that don't work any better than a set of Nighthawks and relay kit. All good. Really bright doesn't equal good usable light. I prefer the look of a classic fluted lens as well.

My favorite saying comes into play... Pick your parts, pay your money!

But what about wanting green halos lol

Ok, how much and how do I get one of these cracked back upgrades???
TIA
PM Rob, aka Crackedback.
He used to have an ad in the For sale section.
Basically its a plug and play realy set up. Plug the relay harness into one of the original headlight connectors. Then attach the relay power wire to the alternator output terminal. Re-install headlights.

Ok, I'll PM him.

BTW, I tried to follow the links above the the suggested headlights, but it looks like the head light everyone likes has been superseded. Or are they all using the headlight that looks like something I'd use on a sport bike??

Some bad news about GE's Nighthawks. Production was moved out of the country and quality took a hit.
Probably all of the old stock of US made is gone. The large rectangular (H6054nh) that I bought about a year ago from 'zon was made in China. :(
I didn't know about the change. But now I do and wanted let everyone else know too.
Past the end of the line for GE Night Hawk sealed beams

Probably the next cheapest option is the Hella Vision Plus H4 (HB2). However the HB2/H4 bulb that comes with it is not so great. So replace with a good bulb.
Interesting headlight bulb test results

The box and inkstamp on Chinese production 7" round lamps have added the COO. Here's the rectangular H6054nh I bought last year.

And a H6024nh from the Pelicanparts thread referenced in the Candlepowerforum link.

From the Candlepowerforums posts, if you have a US made one and a China made one, you can see the lenses and other physical features are different. Different and not better performancewise. :(

For reference (taken from A'zon) when looking at the front lens.
