Complete 8 3/4 rear
For sale is an unmodified 8 3/4 complete rear end with 10x1.75 backing plates, brakes, 5x4 drums, and 5x4 axles. Also included is a 489 case open carrier center section with 3.23 gears. I am switching to a Dana 60. I have had this rear end under my car for the last 25 years. The housing was painted yrs ago with Por 15 and other than being dusty is in great shape. The drums and backing plates were blasted and painted in Por 15 as well. All the brake parts were replaced when assembled and work perfectly.
If interested in the rear end. I have set of small bolt pattern 15 x7 steel wheels that are 4.5 backspace. I had 255/60 15" wheels on these wheels and had perfect clearance on the outside wheel lip and spring. I also have a set of wheel vintiques small bolt pattern wheels 15x7 4" backspacing that I ran 225/70 15" street tires on. Both fit great. This was on a 1968 Dodge Dart.
