Actually Buick’s have been in China since the late 20’s. Today Buick is one of the top selling brands there.
Part of the reason that Buick has such an appeal in China today is that it has been there for a long time. In 2017 Buick sold about 200,000 cars in the USA. In China Buick sold over a million cars. It makes sense to build them where you sell them.
