how do you feel about electric performance cars?

I'll put it in terms of two of my motorcycles. One,a Moto Guzzi 850-T carburetorated V twin and the other a BMW K100 RS a 4 cylinder water cooled computerized fuel injected thing. The Guzzi vibrates makes noise has gobbs of torque and feels real good as you blast down the road . The sound is almost like music. The BMW though way more powerful and smooth as silk whines and there is no real sensation of power and speed. In other words it's boring as opposed to exciting like the Moto Guzzi is.I think it would be no different with an electric car vs a gas engine one . It just has no soul. Speed isn't everything
This is where I'm at with the subject. I have a neighbor who has a friend with a Tesla and says how fast it was and all that.. he said at one point the computer glitched and everything shut down for a couple seconds and then pop back on and everything was fine.. definitely faster than my Duster no question..
BUT!!, There's a whole lot to be said for anticipation.. there's a reason when you get on a roller coaster that it Clickety Clacks real slow up to the peak of the ride before it drops you down that fast run.. anticipation!! The crackling of the pipes... the pounding vibration of the car... Stomping on the loud pedal in the front end Rises quickly and you're pushed back in your seat... The violence of banging 2nd gear with your 4-speed... I can hardly wait to give him a ride in the duster one of these times and make him crap his pants.....
