How long can you keep new tires stored inside in a warm room before using ? Is it better to have them mounted or leave them unmounted for storage? The reason Im asking is the tires I want to use are on sale now but I wont be ready to mount on car for quite some time (maybe 1 year). Thanks for any input:thankyou:

Just get them and put them in big black trash bags sealed up best you can. that will keep them as fresh as anything. Thats what we do with our race tires to keep them soft.

When you say warm room do you mean like in your house or in a storage container that can get to 150 deg inside.

I suspect 1 year no problem. Un mounted no problem. Light, dryness are tire killers.

One year is short term storage for tires. Go for it.

One year is no problem at all. Trash bag them to keep them clean. Dont set heavy stuff on top of them because the sidewalls will push in and it can make mounting difficult. Other than that I cant think of any other issues.
