1965 MMP's Barracuda Hemi swap! The Ever Changing Build

Happy MCBD from a 65 stroker owner Marine vet in Tustin! I had the same idea for lopping a kegger top for an EFI TR setup. Adapt, improvise,overcome... Marines! subscribed....
YES happy Birthday to you too Marine!

I eventually want to use a Whipple style blower on my stroked 5.9 in my '68. Part of the current build's problem is that I have 10.2 to 1 compression and the engine cranks at 200 psi. With the aluminum Eddie heads heads I the tune I have on it, I can run on pump premium out here in California. Another issue is it currently has a cast crank and Hypereutectic pistons.

I'll have to rebuild the bottom end with forged stuff, lower the compression and switch to a Holley ECU for easier tuning. I'm currently running the factory JTEC computer that's been reflashed.

It's hard to mount an air to air inter-cooler in my 68, so it must be even harder in a '65. I think an inter-cooler is pretty much mandatory on a street car build.

Before you jump nto a 46rh take a look at an Extreme Automatics 200R4 with a lock-up converter. I have a stage 2 version in my car with a 3800 stall Precision of New Hampton 3 carbon disc lock-up converter. It's smaller, more efficient and holds up to 750hp. It's by far the best automatic trans I've ever used. I also bolted in on with a Reid SFI rated bellhousing instead of that ugly bulky plate adapter. It looks much cleaner.
I was looking at a Clegg 408 kit with a Dish piston and scat crank. low 9's cc. As for the trans its a bit late to change now I'm knees deep in it now. Tran's is built cars is modded and efi harness and brain is finished. So I got that going for me hahaha...
