3 FISH LIMIT AL's BUDGET BUILD

-
My budget went out the window a long time ago. and lots of extra parts as well.
We should have been neighbors could have a hell of a garage sale.
Against my better judgement I should figure my Cost up ! I 'm running low on parts to sell, gonna start getting into my stash cash. LOL

I had to go back to work part time to pay for my addiction. I think about 35,000 will be the
final # . Glad I'm not married I would be in the dog house for sure.

Brah, I'm afraid to add it all up ! Not sure I want to know . Lucky we get brothers to buy parts from , to keep some of the costs down. I know for a fact if it wasn't for Al, Kid and a few others I would have lost my shirt on my 67 build !

Been working on getting the interior lined out. Got the visors and rear view mirror cleaned up and installed. And the A pillar covers. Cleaned the carpet and checked to see how it fit. since it's for an automatic. Looked like it fits ok. All these parts came out of the first 67 fast back. I sold all this to the guy a couple years ago, now got it back in the deal. Installed the 4spd hump and console brackets. Then checked out the chin spoilers.

Yours will be on the road before mine and hope you plan on driving yours on long trips. I would like to meet up some place and get a good look at your car and have a beer or pop at a car show with ya.

Boy I don't know about that. I'm getting to the wiring part, I'm sure that will throw me a fit. Long road trip and a few beers sounds good. We have to be 2000 miles apart.

Chin spoilers look awesome brah!
I have them stuck on with 2 sided tape to check em out. I kinda like em too. I see some new challenger rear deck lid spoilers on ebay pretty cheap. Might get me one and see if I can make it work. Steve , I will put the shifter ball in the mail tomorrow.

Where did the chin spoilers come from? What a difference! Not that the fish looked bad at all, but man those make quite a difference.
Hey, I told you bout the shifter ball too.

Got the carpet fitted in and the console cleaned up the best I could , some old seatbelts in the front. Connected the steering column to the box. Found a new master cylinder in my box of junk and cleaned it up and stuck it on. Ran to town to get me some speaker wire, so I can finish up the carpet. I committed to the chin spoilers, by drilling and bolting them on.

Hey Al how you doing on getting your glass installed? A friend just restored his 70 Dart and used this front and rear gasket off E Bay- Pro Kits- he said it was good rubber and no problem on installing the glass and not expensive.

From what I've seen the Precision seals are about $250 and so is the chrome lock strip. So there is a Grand. To much for by budget. But no , I haven't gotten the rear installed yet. I ordered a plastic window seal tool , and a 20# dead blow mallet. I'll get it in one way or another :icon_fU::lol:

I also got a rear trim piece in today from MoparMatt after doing some wheelin and dealin. Need to polish the aluminum up a bit and good to go ! Thanks Matt.

Still need to come up with the 2 stick pieces for the top and bottom.

LOL I guess you will. Back glass I believe is tempered so as long as you don't get something sharp by it you can stand on it without it breaking.

The new Steele Seal I bought seams to be about an inch narrow on the bottom edge. I gave up trying to install it the other day after most the day. More scratches in the new touch up. I stretched the seal over the glass and going to let it sit till the plastic tool gets here. Give it another shot.

Like I said aftermarket seals are not quite the same fit and sometimes better to cut the rubber and fill in with sealer of good quality but just me.
