So I went to a guy's house today, a bloke called Olle. He has several Saab 96 and 95s. So I went to see his shop and see what kind of madness he has cooking over there. He has a strong accent and is hard to understand. Our time was cut short because it is insanely cold out and it was getting dark outside.

It's interesting that not just mopar people have this sickness. Mad car disease knows no boundaries and extends to every make and model and years.

It's a beautiful thing, when you are compelled to nurture a car of any kind. :p

Olle is a Swedish first name. I guess you would not understand me neither, same as with me having a hard time understanding people with a heavy Spanish accent, Mexicans and so forth. Accents takes time to getting used to. Sometimes a very long time. I am sure Olle is an ok fellow, never in my life met a nasty Swede.

I always back read. It’s not like it’s a text book or anything. Most of the time, it takes about a dozen posts to even equal a normal length paragraph. Most times, when I come back there are 3-5 pages of stuff to back read. Only takes about 5 mins to be fully caught up.

I never like walking into a place and trying to jump into conversations that are in progress. I want a little context first. Back reading gives me that context.

I like to back read too. But still, sometimes I reply to something and what I write does not make any sense, but it might take me an hour back and forth until I realize that. Then I feel dumb, and I guess that is how it is to communicate in a different language than ones mothertongue. And as if that is not enough, my telephone is a true lunatic.

This is stage one of my modular design. In the spring onto the other end of the original 12x16 will be a 12 x 12. In the end, it’ll be 12x36

Crazy church bunch I used to run around with, we went to Baja and built numerous 16' x 20' houses with a sleeping loft for worthy families. Usually included the demolition of the cardboard house they found shelter in before. All done in one day. Had templates, drawings, cut lists, and exactly the right amount of materials. Just needed willing volunteers for the labor, some skilled, some not . Great fun.

This is a Corazon House. We didn't have the luxury of concrete foundations and floors in the 90s.
A matching outhouse was part of the build too . The fundraisers for such were a real hoot. 800 dozen Tamales one year.

Olle is a very Swedish name.

Hey, I feel bad for dropping off the map after promising you to look for SAAB parts. Still interested?

You beat me to it. To be honest, I did meet the occasional nasty Swede. Not a single nasty Norwegian, though.

Yea, Olle is pretty nice, and kinda cute, and single.
He came to USA as a kid around the same time I did. He and his family came to Denver. He is a few years older than me. His dad is some kind of doctor. I found Olle through a craigslist ad earlier this year, he had some Saab parts advertised.

Small world.

I am not really buying a saab or any parts right now but Olle is a bit surprised I am interested in Saabs and into cars in general. I am cleaning up my yard to invite him over soon.

I also have difficulty understanding people with heavy spanish accents and there seems to be many in my area.

Even though Olle has a strong accent, he is talking about saabs and cool stuff so I like it!!! LOL

I wish I had some spam, I would enjoy that this morning Ray

That's one thing we never run out of. When I go to the commissary it is half the price of in town and grab 5 cans if we need it or not. Hell its like a cockroach just wont be bad after a nuclear strike!

It sure is Z !! Records are being broken here in northeast Arkansas this morning, and all week from what I understand.
And I have no bourbon in the house !! :soapbox:
