When Uli and Irina were here a couple years ago, they introduced us to a favorite of theirs....Der Schlonka, or “the red and the white”. It’s Ketchup and Mayo mixed together in a swirl. Good with fries, my wife and kids still use it now.

I hope you grew out of that!
You do know what Creutzfedlt-Jakob Disease is?

When I was a kid, I'd drink milk pretty much from the teat. When I got older, I realized why we pasteurized and homogenized our milk before we shipped it.

Eating raw steak is a bad thing! In fact, I'm not allowed to donate blood because when I was stationed in Germany, I "may have been" exposed to the mad cow prion.

So true. Raw meat is no joke. Any meat. Raw pig can give you trichinosis (sp????) and raw seafood will make you wish you were dead.

IIRC, the C/J disease is passed though the bovine by feeding them bone meal and processed blood meal from other animals. I may not be correct about that, but I think I'm close.

Raw meat is not to be messed with.

Der Schlonka...........what we call goop. Poor folk salad dressing too. We were somewhat poor, but my Mom was rich and loving!

Wifey setting the table.... thought I'd share... :)

Know that's what I'm talking about, a burger, the only place for ketchup and a little mayo.
Where's the cheese, don't got cheese. !!
Look at the corner of the picture, you'll see cheese on my son's burger. I prefer no cheese please :)

Finally, us ketchup users have tied up the votes 14 - 14 :D (sounds like a football 1/2 time score :D)

How about that? Those ketchup voters have tak'n the lead!!!!!! As I had a small amount of Ketchup with my lasagna today :)

My family comes from the Black Hills just below Alpena.. a few years ago we were riding around on six wheel Gators around Black River where the street name signs bared our family name..

This solely depends on the cut of meat and how it was cooked. A bad steak needs ketchup.

In that case I would still prefer A-1 or extra seasoned salt etc. But, if the cook already ruined it feel free to try to salvage it any way you like. Or take your chances and send it back. I rarely send anything back cause then ya gotta wonder what they might do to the next thing they give you.

I do use Heinz ketchup, cause there is no other kinds. Up here Walmart carries Mayochup. 1 of my friends puts ketchup in every kind of soup except for tomato soup. No cheese on burgers is just wrong. Kim
