Temp gauge magnum block

Is there a place to install a temperature sensor besides the intake. Efi requires one and i want to run a temp. gauge in car.
 
Well, you could tap a freeze plug for pipe threads, maybe run a bushing down to the thread size on the sender, but that would be sort of "permanent". A sender in the head might run hot, in the block drain might run slightly cold. You could drill and tap a different spot in the intake. Since the intake is the outlet, and "blending" each head, I'd suspect it's the most accurate.
 
The only thing I could think of is 90 degree brass tee. I'm thinking 3/8 npt, would have drill and tap intake but not a big deal, have already done that for heater hose, the only question I have since the sensor is not actually down in the intake would the sensors get a accurate reading.

On the center behind the thermostat (not directly shine it, just off to the right) there is a small hole that I drilled larger for a temp gauge sender. You can still use the stock sender in the intake about where it is normally placed.
 
You can but spacers for the tstat with tappings on the side.

I saw a earlier post about spacer but never could find them, all I found was for chevy or big block mopar. Guess I'll go ahead with my tee.
 
Those are both for chevy's, don't know if they would work on magnum engine.
 
That make an adapter that goes in the top radiator hose.
Jegs sells them.
 
could you use the same sender for both?
just double up on the leads?
 
Thanks for all the help . I may go with the spacer, haven't found any vendors till you found, thanks. after looking at their pictures I see they are using on a big block motor.

I asked you earlier a couple of things and you never answered but made the mention of a Magnum engine.

I think thats where i relocated heater hose. This a magnum engine and i'm going to use a/c which kills using hole underneath compressor.
 
Regardless of HOW you do it, the temp sender needs to be as close to the thermostat and water outlet as possible. Tapping into a freeze plug will not give you the correct temperature.
