All small blocks share same crank ?

Something different to check if the car has been modified is if the angle of the driveshaft at the rear end and transmission is correct. Had an A-body friend who chased just such a problem for months and that was the fix (wedges between the axle locators and the springs got it straightened out). Don't know the correct angles off hand. IT increases with severity with speed not RPMs.

I did that a couple months ago. Good suggestion. I shimmed it 2 degrees and it helped a lot. But, the smallest amount of humming in driveline remains at 70 mph. I’ve addressed everything but the balance of the drive shaft and tranny mount. But, tranny mount looks to be ok. Pretty sure at this point driveshaft needs balanced. Or driveshaft / yoke is slightly bent. Or rear end needs shimmed an additional 2 degrees. Since this thread was started. I found my engine mount bolts were loose as hell.,That didn’t help either. But, I tightened them and smallest amount of humming remains in driveline at 70.
