Deer season starts in about twenty days here in Ohio. I went out to check my trail cameras today and got a few bucks on it. Let's see what everyone else got.

I like to say I'm going to give these bucks another year to mature but both of these areas see a good amount of pressure.

I gotta tell you this.
I was out messin around one day and around from a clump of brush walks this big buck about 30 feet from me, and me standing there with a loaded 9mm auto.
I actually pointed it at him right between the eyes and said POP! and he ran off.
Looked like about as far away as that last pic, and is what reminded of it. :D

Don't have a trail cam but have a interesting drive to work everyday.

Utah. About 30 miles south of Salt Lake. I take a back road west of the growth, borders Kennecott mine property. Our community is in the foothills and loaded with mule deer. Kind of running the gauntlet at times.

I was out in Park City this time last year. Didn't see as much wildlife as I did in Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain national park. We were lucky enough to see a grizzly eating an elk while two wolves circles waiting for him to finish. They were too far away to get on the cell phone camera.

Yeah not much wildlife in the park city area. Out here we have mule deer in the foothills and neighborhoods, antelope on the flat and elk come down when it gets below 30. Some wild turkeys, quail and a few pheasants. Kind of weird because it's not that rural. Lived in Denver, loved Estes and Rocky Mountain. Yellow stone and Teton is a favorite also.

I want to go Elk hunting so bad. But dang, it's like 5 grand to do it

5 more days... I so need out get outta the rat race and into the woods!

I take off nearly every Monday and Friday of November to hunt. I have to save up my vacation time but being out there is a higher priority than a lot of things.
