Very bad news about a great Mopar guy - Moparts

its amazing how fast it all happened. sounded like a good dude.

he first posted about it on oct 13th. https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/topic/224028.html

and by nov 17th he was gone.. https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/2716841/1/stu-passed-away-today.html

It seems too common for people to say that they were shocked by something but this time, I really was.
Stu did go quick.
Same situation with Eddie Money. His diagnosis and his demise were really close in duration.
My Mother was diagnosed with Liver cancer and it seemed to take all life out of her just hearing it. She started to sleep a lot more and half way to her end, she didn't leave the bedroom. She had a few moments of almost total clarity where she would be awake and alert as if she was totally healthy. This is God/Nature's cruel joke as it gives those around them false hope that they are improving.
After Stu started the thread about his condition, I felt some of those same uneasy feelings that I had when Mom was on her way out. I barely knew the guy but I knew what was coming. There are cases where people have fought hard and survived so it is not always a foregone conclusion that they are done.
Stu stated that he was cleared by his Dr from the melanoma issues that he had but after feeling pain in his side, he went back and got this sad news.
MY experience is that once you have the pain, the damage is pretty bad. Cancer is an evil force that goes into hiding and sometimes comes back somewhere else.
Stu lived in San Francisco, not Arizona so the sun can get to you even in a place with fog and overcast skies.
I'm no Poster Boy for anything BUT we should all take heed of any and all health concerns that we have as soon as possible. If something feels wrong, see a Doctor. Early detection may help and I doubt that it would hurt.
Stu was lucky in at least one thing. He had a little time to get his affairs in order and say a few words to the people he loved. At that same time though, he had to know that he was going to go. That must have been scary as anything. I have had family members check out early and it scares me every time I think of how they must have felt.
