Hey all, hope everyone is doing good. I have been on the prowl for another 67 Dart GT. Last weekend I went to check one out with intention and cash to buy. After inspection I had a number in my head that wasn't close to what the guy was asking. The guy says he's a Chevy guy so maybe that is why?

What do you all think this would be worth?

1967 Dart GT
Rebuilt 360 (Has a thin balancer on it so I thought that would be a 318)?
Front suspension is toast
Engine bay is nasty and may need both aprons replaced
Frame rails and floors all solid
Interior fair but needs much love
4 wheel disc brakes
8 3/4 with sure grip
Trans supposedly rebuilt but has grease and oil all over it. Owner said it needed adjustments because you couldn't manually shift it.
Both quarters need replacement along with outer wheel houses.
Car needs a complete paint job but overall fairly solid
Brake lines and trans lines look like a 2 year old did them.. no lie I wish I would have taken photos.

Car was listed for 9k Once I saw it I figured 6k with all the issues. Owner said nothing under 8500 and I said no thanks. Have things really changed this much?

For comparison I found another 67 Dart GT. Car is original 273 black interior. Car needs a complete restoration but looks fairly solid. Does not run or move and hasn't for almost 30 years... This guy is asking 6500 but said he'd take 5500... I would be comfortable at like 2k.... Are people just nuts or am I just that out of it??

From your description, certainly not 8500. Hope you and the boys are doing well. Miss talking to you.

67-9 Darts are a hot commodity but there have been many nice ones sold here for reasonable price. Depending on your budget, You are better off spending 8-$10,000 for a nicely done car. Now if you want to rebuild one, find a solid car like that 273 car you mentioned and go from there. I am not a body man so I would have to pay to have that stuff done and a higher priced solid car makes more sense to me.

I agree with everyone above. My budget was in the 8-9k range. The first car would be a great car to have as it has everything in it you need to make a cool car but it's just so poorly done it's nuts what he's asking. Rob, the boys and I are keeping our heads above water! Hope you are doing well too.

have to see pics but sounds like a 4K max (probably not even worth that) car..

Keep looking. A car that needs qtrs. is a basket case. 360 engine with narrow balancer? hum $7-8000 you said is your budget, that will by you something worthwhile, not a POS

This is listed at $6500 and said he'd take $5500... To me it's like 2k...
